Small Groups offered at Milford UMC

Small Group Study - Pastor Led
Four to five small group studies of varying lengths are offered each year. They are led by Pastor Jenn Lovallo and, although themed, each week is worth enjoying whether you were able to attend previous weeks or not. Reading the suggested material is in no way a prerequisite for joining the discussion.

Book Discussion Group - Lay Led
Reconciling Ministries Team
Usually twice a year, we spend a month focusing on a book that brings awareness to social justice issues. We strive to find concrete ways in which we can act on Christ's commands to love boldly and act justly in and beyond the walls of the church. You don't have to read the book to join us, all are welcome!

We will be gathering in person, but you can join us via Zoom using the link found below.
Faith and Fiction Book Club
We meet in person for a literary discussion on the 3rd Thursday of every month (except May and September) at 7:30 PM in the Conference Room. Hot beverages and light snacks are provided.

Text Linnea (570-977-5006) and/or Jodi (845-699-1682) with any questions.

Reconciling Ministries Team
Various Dates and Times

In December 2021, the Milford United Methodist Church overwhelmingly voted to affirm the statement below. The RMT remains active supporting other congregations as they go through the process of joining the Reconciling Ministries Network, providing education surrounding issues related to inclusion, and connecting with the community as we continue to seek justice for all.
We, the Milford United Methodist Church, believe that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is unconditionally welcoming and affirming of all persons. We celebrate God’s gift of diversity and value the wholeness made possible in community equally shared and shepherded by all. We welcome and affirm people of every gender identity, gender expression, and sexual orientation, who are also of every age, race, ethnicity, physical and mental ability, level of education, and family structure, and of every economic, immigration, marital and social status, and so much more. We acknowledge that we live in a world of profound social, economic, and political inequities. As followers of Jesus, we commit ourselves to the pursuit of justice and pledge to stand in solidarity with all who are marginalized and oppressed. We welcome all to full participation in the ministry, leadership, mission, and life of our church. Our hearts, our minds and our doors are open to all who want to share the love of Jesus Christ in our community and in our world.
